Just wanted to say what a brilliant evening I had at the gig on Friday night in Bristol! Very intimate setting - and the "Skulk Ensemble" band were great!! They played a super selection of songs - old and new - and the banter between Jim and Jackie, and the rest of the guys was spot on!! I'm really liking this track... I know it's an "old track" but as I'm not lucky enough to own the EP - I'd never heard it before 14th May! It's very refreshing to hear Jim with another string to his bow - ie a bit of hard rock! Althe - Hogeye Man is a track which (I think) was only available on the digital download version of Skulk through Bandcamp, as I'm pretty sure it's not on the physical album... I will stand corrected if I'm wrong! Hope this helps!! Ali x

Interesting - I consider myself a bit of a fan of Jim, and have shockingly never heard "This Is The Sound"!! Gonna have to try and get my hands on this! I wonder how different the list would be now, since Skulk was released!? That's a really great picture Brian!! I love the simplicity of the black background too - really makes the rest of the photo stand out. All the pics I have of James are slightly blurred in some way coz he hardly ever stands still!! Cheers!! Ali x

Wow - Jim, that's some explanation - and takes me right back to when I was in my teens an doing music theory to accompany my piano playing (got to Grade 5, but to my regret never kept it up when I left home at 17.... ) They were talking about this very subject on The One Show on BBC1 last night (will be available on the iPlayer if anyone interested) - basically explaining the link between math

Here's my attempt!! Very difficult to keep a budgie to sit still more than two seconds - and impossible to make this picture square (ie album cover shaped) without losing most of my head!!
