northern gigs?

Hi, i saw Jim at Greenbelt last year and have been aching to go and see him live again since then (i've been unable to get to the gigs i've heard about).
I now discover that he's going to be playing in Stafford (very near me) a week after i leave England for Edinburgh College of Art. All i want to say is, please could he play in Scotland or at least play in the West Midlands while i'm here.

Oh, and i noticed a mention of the "I am Jim Moray" cd. I have this and i didn't think it was rare (i got it from a charity shop, some idiot gave it away), how many are there?

Stafford is Jims hometown - the gig will be the first time he's played there for a very long time. I'm sure someone on this board can tell you what happened last time we tried to play in Scotland... It'll happen some time soon I hope.

There are about 700 CD copies of "I am..." around - some of those were promo copies, and the first run of 100 were on CDR (ultra ultra rare if you have this...). The CD never had distribution so it was only available by mail-order or from gigs.

Yes Scotland has snow and yes it's terribly inconvenient for all concerned. (In case you were wondering suzuki, Jim's last attempt at entertaining the good people of the thistle and heather was snowed off in style.)

As mentioned before Jim can feel free to utilise my flat for a gig should he so desire. Booze, a bevvy of student lovelies and all the brownies he can eat will be thrown in gratis.

If Chris "I'm very nearly gay for all The Strokes" Thile can drag his hyperactive ass and mandolin all the way over here from the states for no apparent reason at all (but we sure are glad he is) then fingers crossed we WILL see Jim up here one day SOON since he is comparatively VERY CLOSE. WON'T WE? (<- said in as non-threatening but slighty deranged tone as possible)
