Hi, I've just uploaded a new podcast of me talking rubbish between some records, including Mike Waterson, Gillian Welch, Sam Amidon, Pete Coe and more.

You can stream it using Mixcloud here : [t.co] - the Mixcloud interface is quite clean, but not immediately obvious to some. In case you can't work it out, you can use the bottom bar to navigate through the programme once its loaded. For licensing reasons you're not allowed to download or skip tracks but you can drag through the timeline at the bottom.

I hope you enjoy it.

J

Oh dear... that's more CDs added to my 'to buy' list. These podcasts could end up being quite expensive. Would be great to hear a bit more talk - maybe some interviews? Further explanations of the songs? I'm sure you've got lots planned for future podcasts.

Really enjoyed listening to it, and hopefully you'll be doing it bi-weekly (every other week) not bi-monthly (ever other month) winking smiley

As for a name, how about Fox News. Or has someone already used that... winking smiley

I'm really enjoying it, too. It's quite an eclectic mix, while still all broadly "folk". I particularly appreciate some of the older tracks - as a fairly recently converted and quite casual listener of folk, I find it quite difficult to explore beyond the obvious contemporary big names, so it's great to have some pointers.

I'm in the same boat as Shushapye in that I'm a very recent convert to folk music, so podcasts like yours are educational as well as being very entertaining. Any plans to do some more?

I particularly liked the Sam Amidon.

Ditto. I've really enjoyed listening to these on my I-thing* while out walking and would love to hear more.
