Anyone about who's been to any of the recent gigs who can tell me roughly how long / what time they finished? Or Jim of course, if you're around, do you know what time you're on till tomorrow? Trying to work out whether best to drive in or come on the train...
Thanks in advance!

Hope to see you there Jen. Getting excited now, got Jim playing in the iPod and just been talking to Zach's mum, he knows only that we're going out tonight and that he'll enjoy it, can't wait to see his face when I hand him his ticket smiling bouncing smiley

Think I've given up on train plan - don't fancy trekking across drunk-filled town on the way back. Have found a couple of car parks quite close by so we're going early and having some tea beforehand. (Have spotted what looks like a nice Japanese place just up the road.)

Martin - I didn't realise Zach didn't know where he was going to, he'll be thrilled to bits! Will try and look out for you (well, I'll look out for a teenager with a massive smile on his face!).

Jim - we'll come and find you, thanks again!

Luckily, I'm not driving - the trade-off was that I'd get the tickets, Zach's dad would do the driving as he knows Liverpool a hell of a lot better than me.

Hi all,

Sold out I see!

The Phil's site doesn't mention it, but this site (http://schoolofeverything.com/venue/108588/rodewald-suite-liverpool-philharmonic-hall) states that the entrance to the Rodewalde Suite is on Sugnall St.

Those travelling by car might find this useful: [www.liverpoolphil.com]
There doesn't appear to be any other performances listed on The Phil's website for tonight, so there may be ample parking... or it may be that some of the satellite car parks like Blackburne House aren't in operation.

The Phil' advise not to use Blackburne House car park if it is unmanned.

Hi Anthony

I noticed it was sold out when I was on the Phil's site this morning looking for parking. smiling smiley

I called Reception at the Phil a short while ago to make sure the car parks were open as usual even though nothing is on tonight in the main hall, and they confirmed that they should be open as normal, so yes, should be plenty of parking hopefully. But the site does say that not all of the suggested car parks are run by the Phil themselves, so satellite ones as you say may not be open. The woman I spoke to said that the Caledonia Street car park may not be manned but it is still ok to use that one.
The university ones on the Phil's website should be fine though, they are open all year round outside of college hours as far as I know.

We're looking forward to it!

Good to know, cheers!

Has anyone been to the Rodewalde Suite before? Do they serve refreshments/food?

I've not been to the Rodewald Suite, but the event listing here (scroll down to "What is After 8?" ) does say it has an in-house bar, but doesn't mention food. There is a cafe/bar in the main Phil building, but I don't know whether that will be open when there is no show in the main hall. There are lots of hotels / restaurants / bars nearby though, especially down Hope Street from what I can gather.
