Red Lion Folk Club - 20 Feb

Hi All

New fan here ... I've just booked a ticket for the Red Lion Folk Club gig on 20 Feb ... is anyone else going? I'm coming down from Nottingham on my own, so it'd be nice to have someone to say hi to on the night

First time in a folk club too ... you guys aren't scarey are you?

With our game being called off - due to the weather yet again - I had to do something today or risk going stir crazy.

A very late decision to travel to Birmingham (hence why I couldn't let you know smitten kitten) but certainly worth it. Fabulous set by Jim and Nick (apparently the trio absentee was a "long story" but all is well with the "missing" James which is the important thing)

Thank you for kick starting my gig going in 2010 - I might just have to work out how to get to the Urban Fox now. Seems it might become quite a popular venue so I might as well work out how to get there at some point!

I had a fantastic night … Jim was amazing as expected, and Nick’s solo blew me away too. I loved every minute of it, and can’t wait to see them live again.

And not often you come away from a gig with a block of brie and pack of Werthers Originals …

I take it you won the hamper then Sadly the doggy found a good home elsewhere - it was cute!

Yeah, embarassingly I won twice, but I put the second ticket back in ... I'd only bought the ticket as a donation to the club really. Had to lug it all home on the train the next day too ... should have gone for the fluffy dog!
