If I was in a record store and saw the first picture on that site as an album cover I'd pick it up if I'd never heard of it.

It's modern, beautiful, artistic and just wow...

As are the others.

If you're re-interpreting traditional music, then why not re-interpret how it's portrayed and depicted in art as well?

It doesn't detract from the quality of the songs and music. The third picture would be best for a cover - I think it's the one which I like best - the pics are great ... certainly different from Sweet England - but then if the music is going to be so different then... oh, talking of which, I haven't been able to get to a concert recently - a sample on the site would be cool!

Also, if you have footage of the 2004 folk awards when Jim won some stuff, they were seated with Jim and the band and are quite visible on the broadcast. Sweet England was (I think) the first cover they had done as a partnership, and they are now well on the way to being THE designers to go to in certain circles. We are forever in thier debt really.

BTW, the album artwork hasn't been confirmed yet. What do you all think to having one of those photos on the front? Does it say the right things to the outside world about Jim and traditional music? Or is it just confusing the issue? The same guys did the artwork for Spiers & Boden's two new albums, Tunes and Songs. Seems like they're getting a reputation for avant-folk work
